Haven't done a onesie in a while so this one was killing me. Seems the needle & the thread didn't want to cooperate with each other. So, after several tries, I finally completed this one. Part of my Baby Collection.

Back to Normal

Whew! TT2012 is a thing of the past. A year of planning & it is over with a blink of an eye. Now, need to get back to work as I am way behind in my production. Have 3 requests to complete, not including BS & Gifts. So, here we go.

A New Experience

DD got to babysit (oops-dogsit) this week for JW. It was a very pleasant experience (I went along one of the days). Too bad we can't manage our own. I think we need to introduce D&J to the dogparks.

My Absence

It is TT2012 week. Busy, Busy, Busy. Scorekeeping assignments with DD. Ordering. Typing. Printing. Driving. Folding. Packing. Emails. More Ordering. Stressing. OMG!

I dislike them. Like, "Who Shot JR?". Hawaii Five-O, NCIS & NCIS, LA finales. It's not that I don't like the series, I just don't like suspense and now I have to wait til next season. They were quite disturbing.

Diaper Dilemma

The 3 ply center diapers are much easier to work with but are they thick enough to support any spitup? The 6 ply center diapers get really clumpy after the wash & too thick to embroider but I'm sure the spit stays on the diaper and not soak through. The problem is if they can only offer an affordable 4 or 5 ply center I think that would solve everything but I can't find any. My burp cloths seem to end up as souvenirs rather than for the purpose they were intended. I'll have to think of something to make them decorative as well as functional. Hmmmmm.

Mother's Day Greetings!

Slept in today. That was my treat. Went to see Herb Ohta, Jr., an ukulele virtuoso, last nite at Island Bazaar (that's where DH meets his uke group weekly). It was a small (and somewhat older) crowd. Herb Jr.'s tune is sweet sounding (nahenahe stylin'). Is it illegal to link his youtube? His hana hou tune was the song on that video. Sadly some "not so good, but because they're kids" youtube videos gets millions of views but great artists, such as Herb Jr., get only thousands.

Kawaii & a Redo

The Special Delivery burpie will be redone. I started removing the font & messed up. So, I cut off that section & rebordered it. Except for it being small, I think I kinda like that the thicker section will be in the right spot for the spitups.

A great idea. The wrong font, though. "Special Delivery" didn't stitch out nicely. Will try something else. Darn! The border was sewn perfectly this time.

A Day in the O.C.

First of all, the 3 of us (yes, only 3) spent a good portion of yesterday morning cleaning up the weeds and attacking with the weed-wacker. Then, spent the afternoon in OC with DH. Decided to go for the ride when he went to his Uke group. Checked out the area cuz he said there was a fabric store nearby. Well-we couldn't find said store so I ended up at Walmart (with no fabric dept to boot). About an hour later (driving & shopping time) headed back to sit in the car with my Pad while DH was inside wiith his class. Read a part of my iBook. But, because I'm super cautious, kept looking over my shoulder as I sat and read. I was exhausted after all the activities that I slept away the rest of the day. Did a lot of thinking though & since I'm fully rested today, will attempt to sew out something special. You'll see soon enough.

HK Set, Part II

Cosmetic Bag with strap to match the pencil case in the post below. This one to complete the set for CW's GD. Not quite finished as I await the call with the strap length. This is for a 7-year old so don't want it to be too long or too short.

TT2012 Update

Redid the schedules, once again. Now that they are redone, here is what I completed yesterday. The HK pencil case is for CW's GD. What a cutie this one turned out. Will complete the 2nd part of her request tonite (fingers crossed).

Get Moving May

Exercise this month. I guess that means that I should walk to work today despite the slight drizzle happening. Haven't made my steps since Friday. Let's get moving!

Sampling Sunday

Newest Addition

Believe it or not I did get to work on a new set for the twins in between the TT2012 assignment. This brand new Kawaii Anime set is in addition to the one previously presented them. Part of my Baby Collection.

TT 2012-Another Part Completed

This part was the toughest of them all but finally the DH & I got it completed. Hooray!

No More Landscaping

My newest iPhone case design with one of my newest Kawaii HK fabrics. Looking Good!

The problem? I viewed my pdf instructions on my pad in landscape mode and missed the last step on the page (add the lining) now. The case looked fine from the outside but looking in-you'd see this ugly batting staring at you. Not good.

They say that the first is always the most difficult. Yup! So made another one, same thing. Here they are side by side and you'd never know that one was not perfect.

Keeping Up with my Pedometer

Yup, still using it. Haven't given up yet. My own 10,000 step club. Membership-Me! Walked with the boys both days this weekend. But-wish the weather would make up its mind. Spring, Summer, Winter? Today's walk will be cold/cool. We're back to Winter weather. Well, as long as it doesn't rain on me I'm fine.

Non-stop since early this morning. It's almost 8 and I haven't completed this part of the job. Will take a dinner break. TT2012!

No More Fun This Weekend

Started off with an early (5:30am) walk with the boys. Then read for about an hour to wind down. Now, no more winding down. Gotta be on my toes, on the go for it is the countdown to TT2012. My real work now begins. Wish me luck and some rest.
